Alex Worcester | Senior Transmission Consultant | NorthEast Regional Expert
Alex Worcester is a consultant with extensive experience in transmission planning model development and RTO/ISO planning practices. He leads Transmission Analytics studies in the PJM, NYISO and ISONE regions providing services to banks/equity investors, developers, and other energy market participants primarily focused on impacts of existing and planned transmission system on clients’ financial, development, reliability, planning, and economic decisions related to generation and transmission assets.
Prior to joining Transmission Analytics Alex spent almost a decade with PJM Interconnection, working in nearly all aspects of system planning including market efficiency, steady state reliability, dynamic stability, and model development. During his time with PJM Alex led many interregional planning studies, including the development of Targeted Market Efficiency Project type with MISO. Alex also played a key role in creating the model development processes used for building RTEP and MMWG cases in compliance with the NERC MOD-032 standard.
Alex’s educational background includes a B.S. in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.S. in power systems from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He resides in the greater Philadelphia region.
