Sunil Nair is an experienced and industry recognized leader in the transmission due diligence space with more than a decade of experience. Over the past two years he has functioned as the independent transmission consultant for approximately eighty five percent (85%) of the wind and solar generation projects in the ERCOT Market reaching financial close. He leads due diligence assessments, providing services to developers, banks/equity investors, and utilities primarily focused on impacts of electric high-voltage transmission on clients’ financial, development, reliability, planning, and economic decisions related to generation and transmission assets. Mr. Nair understands the complexities of the power grid, including the intersection of power markets, physical and contractual transmission limitations, and regulatory issues.

Mr. Nair is consistently evolving the practices and processes to support the changing needs of utilities, developers, equity investors, and other stakeholders for issues of relevance to the industry. His knowledge of the energy markets has enabled him to develop investment grade energy market models and provide the best possible data/information to the client. He continues to transform complex technical information into components for making economic and risk-based decisions in the course of leading curtailment, congestion, due diligence, and market assessments for wholesale delivery using state-of-the-art tools such as Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) and load flow analysis.
